Paros Park
Founded in 2009 for the protection and enhancement of the peninsula of Aï Yannis Detis. Paros Park covers 80 hectares of unspoilt natural Cycladic landscape. It features unique sculpted rock formations, caves, coves and beaches, shallow waters and safe supervised bathing, tavernas, an open air historical amphitheater, and hiking paths. It is a lesson in the cultural and sustainable tourism that Paros can be proud of.
The most visited inland towns are Lefkes, Kostos, and Prodromos. Costal town well worth a visit are Piso Livadi on the east coast and Aliki in the south West.
Butterfly valley is fifteen kilometers away, and offers a splendid view over Antiparos. It is best visited in the early evening and provides another opportunity to experience the sunset in all it’s glory.
Ten kilometers away, The ancient Byzantine Path between the elevated villages of Prodromos and Lefkes is a wonderful hour and a half walking trip, allowing great view of the surrounding countryside ,and the possibility to discover the picturesque villages at both ends of the walk. This is also suitable for children.
