Naoussa - Nearest Town

Latitude 37.1167 Longitude 25.3333

Naoussa is the closest and is blessed with a broad array of attractions. Narrow painted streets, numerous shops, many wonderful restaurants, traditional tavernas with musical entertainment, cafes, a marina, its internal port with pretty painted boats, and an exciting nightlife.

There is a bus station in Naoussa with a regular bus schedule to outlying towns, and numerous taxis on hand at the taxi station in the town.

An hourly boat service from Naoussa will bring you to some of the out of the reach beaches, Krios, Lageri (for male nude bathing) and Catholico, very suitable for families with children due to it’s shallow waters and sea side tavernas

ATM distributers are available in and around Naoussa. There are numerous, well-stocked supermarkets a short distance from the house, on the outskirts of Naoussa. Maps available with house guide to Paros.

Swimming possibilities - Kolimbithres - Nearest Beach

The beach of Kolimbithres is one of the most famous beaches of Paros and is located in the huge bay of Naoussa, or Plastira Bay. This beach is particularly impressive because of the huge blocks of granite boarding it, sculpted into strange smooth shapes by the sea and the wind over the centuries.

Small sandy coves are lining one after another, constituting the beach of Kolimbithres (whose name means swimming pools), and allowed, sometimes, to some lucky ones to have their own private tiny bay. Sun beds and umbrellas can be hired in some of the beaches and some water sports facilities are even available.

A few beach bars and taverns can be found along the road leading to the beach. Kolimbithres can be reached from the asphalted road (by local bus or private transportation) or by small fishing boats (caiques) which leave regularly from the port of Naoussa.
